Carol Jean Johnson

Carol Jean Johnson, 74, of rural Peterson, passed away November 24, 2023 at Ava’s Hospice House.

Carol was the daughter or Raymond and Lucille (Parks) Ollinger; born December 3, 1948, Spencer, Iowa.

She attended school in Rossie-Greenville, before going to Clay Central. She went to business school in St Paul, MN. After graduation she worked for 3M in St Paul until she married David.

On April 24, 1970, she married David Johnson, her high school sweetheart. To this union they had 4 children, Brent, Annalissa, Erica and Frayne. She helped on the family farm, until being employed by Hy-Line Chicken Farm and Bomgaars.

Carol enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports and going to their school programs.

Carol is survived by her husband of 53 years, David. Children: Brent (Becky), Linn Grove, IA, Annalissa, Rochester, MN, Erica, Eyota, MN and Frayne (Val) Spencer, IA. Grandchildren: Erick, Ethan, Dylan and Derek. Sisters Karen and Anita.

She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Lucille Ollinger, infant brother Duane. David’s parent Harold Johnson, Helen Duhn.
