Carol Lynn Shoemaker

Carol Lynn Shoemaker, the daughter of Kenneth and Florence (Compher) Shoemaker was born December 25, 1947 in San Diego, CA. Her childhood years were spent in the Cedar Lake, IN area where she went to school, graduating in 1965. Carol attained her Bachelor's Degree at Central Christian College of the Bible in Moberly, MO, where she was also Valedictorian of her class. After college she moved to Union, IA, where she raised her 3 children until moving to Spencer, IA in 1999. Carol enjoyed reading, sewing, cooking, Star Trek, and her cats, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was a member of Church of Christ in Spencer. Carol passed away on Sunday, April 19 at Good Samaritan Society in George, IA, at the age of 67. She was preceded in death by her parents. Left to cherish her memory are her 3 children, Danielle (Brent) Morton of Mooresville, NC, Kendra Wartnaby of Spencer, IA, and Scott (Toni) Fink of Mooresville, NC; 7 grandchildren, Drew, Tiffany, Michael, Desirhea, Samantha, Jasmine, and Alyssa; 4 brothers, Bill, Tom, Rob, and Don; 3 sisters, Barbara, Judy, and Mary; other relatives; and many friends.
