Caroline Jean Jones

Caroline Jean Jones, the daughter of Orville and Loreta Bennett Utley, was born April 18, 1941, in Gillett Grove, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent near Gillett Grove where she received her education. She was baptized at the Gillett Grove Methodist Church. Caroline married Larry Dean Jones on October 31, 1963, in Spencer, Iowa. Throughout their married life, Caroline and Larry lived in the Spencer area for most of their life where she worked various jobs around Spencer and was a devoted housewife. She loved her special working friends at Longhouse who would call her 'Queenie' and prepared special meals at dinner time. She also enjoyed playing Bingo. Caroline passed away at the Spencer Hospital on Tuesday, February 21, 2006, at the age of 64. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister and two brothers-in-law. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Larry, of Spencer, IA; her children and their spouses: Greg and Tammy Jones of Spencer, IA, Gary and Susie Jones of Lake Park, IA, Tammy and Keith Cook of Spencer, IA, Jim and Kellie Jones of Lake Park, IA; her brothers and sisters and their spouses: Lillian and Kenneth Cunningham of Ft. Dodge, IA, Wanda Foster of Byran, IL, Lucille Clayton of Spencer, IA, Kenneth and Thelma Utley of Spirit Lake, IA, Donald Utley of Lawson, MO, Orlie and Gloria Utley of Spencer, IA, Bob and Sandra Utley of Winnebago, IL, Gale and Jeanette Utley of Westerngrave, AR, Marilyn and Peter Brustares of Spencer, IA, Ann and Jim Tiberend of Nashville, IL, and Eula and Dale Belken of Ruthven, IA; 14 grandchildren; five great- grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and many, many friends.
