Casey Stephen Curry

October 6, 1950 — April 11, 2008

Casey Stephen Curry, the son of Earl and Effie Taylor Curry, was born October 6, 1950 in Spirit Lake, Iowa. His childhood years were spent in Spencer, where he received his education. His family later moved to an acreage near Everly, Iowa, where he continued his education, graduating from Everly High School in 1969. During his high school years, Casey worked at the 20th Century Bowling Alley in Spencer. During his adult years, Casey worked at Henningsen Steel and the Spencer Packing Plant. His family moved to Oregon in 1979, where he worked at Kodiak Wood Stove and St. Paul Packing Plant. He moved back to Spencer in the early 1990's and worked for Stylecraft in Milford, Iowa until his health forced him into early retirement. In his later years, he moved to Lake Park, Iowa, where he had resided until the time of his death. He truly enjoyed fishing, boating, kayaking, shooting pool and enjoying the outdoors. Casey passed away at the Spencer Hospital on Friday, April 11, 2008 at the age of 57. He was preceded in death by his longtime companion, Jane Eglund. Left to cherish his memory are his parents: Earl and Effie Curry of Spencer; three sisters: Judy Saling and her husband, Dick of Coos Bay, Oregon, Becky Curry of Baker City, Oregon and Peggy Curry and her fianc� Steve Cizek of Dickens, Iowa; 7 nieces and nephews; 7 great nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
SERVICES
Memorial graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at the Dickens Cemetery in Dickens, Iowa.

There will be no visitation.
MUSIC
INTERMENT
Dickens Cemetery Dickens, Iowa A lunch and time of fellowship will be held following the graveside services at the V.F.W. Hall in Spencer.
