Catherine Marie Utley

Catherine Marie (Yunker) Utley, the daughter of Ada and George Yunker, was born November 11, 1922, in Yakima, Washington. She spent her childhood in Yakima and graduated from Yakima High School. She worked as a chauffeur for military dignitaries during WWII at Fort Lewis, Washington. She married Ray F. Utley on February 24, 1945 in Cheahalis, Washington. Following their marriage, they moved to Spencer, Iowa, where they lived until 1952, when they moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado. Catherine was a homemaker and a retired Stanley Home Product Manager. In 1977, they moved to Florida and in 1985, they moved to Texas and finally settling in Tennessee. She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Lebanon, Tennessee. Catherine passed away on July 31, 2012 at her daughter's home in Lebanon, TN at the age of 89. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ray of 55 years who died on September 4, 2000 and her daughter, Darlene Strahm in 1998. She is survived by daughters: Cathy and her husband, Dan Hiveley, Sr. of Lebanon, TN, Sue and her husband, Tim White of Las Vegas, NV; three sons: Michael and his wife, Tracie Utley of Woodbury, TN, Jeff Utley of Eugene, OR and Patrick Utley of Canton, GA; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
