Cecelia Anna Franker, the daughter of Henry and Minnie (Westphal) Klinker, was born June 14, 1918, in O'Brien County, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent moving around northwest Iowa. She received her education in Moneta schools.
Cecelia married Earl Franker on September 16, 1935, in Spencer, Iowa. Following their marriage, they farmed near Royal for 43 years until their retirement when they moved into Royal where she lived for many years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the United Methodist Church in Royal. She had recently moved to Spencer, Iowa.
Cecelia passed away at her home in Spencer on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at the age of 90. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl Franker in 1978; son, Jeffrey in December of 2006; son-in-law, Bruce Hebeisen in 2003; granddaughter, Dawn Franker; five brothers and two sisters.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Richard Franker and special friend, Julie Franker of Brooks, GA, Garen Hebeisen of Hackensack, MN, Dennis Franker of Ayrshire, IA, and his special friend Tammy Elliott of Spencer, IA; daughter-in-law, Lonelle Franker of Spencer, IA; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Lillian Harjes of Spencer, IA and Betty Sanks of Idaho; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
SERVICES
Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M., Saturday, November 29, 2008 at Grace United Methodist Church in Spencer.
