Cecelia Stukey

Celia Stukey, 92, of Spencer died Wednesday, December 27, 2006, at Hospice of North Iowa in Mason City, Iowa. Celia, the daughter of Carl and Mary Kropf Zimmerman, was born October 17, 1914, in Crofton, Nebraska. She moved to Spencer in 1939 and married Frank Stukey on October 18, 1940. With the exception of four years taking care of her father in Nebraska, she spent her life in Spencer doing domestic and caf� work, retiring in 1977 from Stub's Ranch Kitchen. She was preceded in death by her husband on June 21, 1946, her parents, four brothers and four sisters. Survivors include her two daughters and their husbands: Barbara and Gary Biles of Springville, IA, and Sandra and Bob Jordan of Martinez, CA; her grandchildren, Barb and Clem Smaker and Bobby Jordan of Martinez, CA, John and Cathy Golden of Parker, CO, Troy Biles of Gainesville, FL, and Todd Biles of Tiffin, IA; two great-grandchildren, Riley and Maria Golden of Parker, CO and many nieces, nephews and friends. Celia was a longtime member of Grace United Methodist Church in Spencer, IA. She enjoyed gardening, handiwork, baking, and visiting nursing home residents. She loved her family and friends and her very special joys were her great-grandchildren, Riley and Maria and her little friends Sydney, Shayla and Miles. She will be greatly missed, but her gentle spirit will remain with us always. A memorial fund has been established for Hospice of North Iowa.
