Cecil Parker Adams

August 14, 1915 — May 5, 2006

Parker Adams, the son of Bert and Ethel Parker Adams, was born August 14, 1915, in Alta, Iowa. His childhood years were spent in Spencer, Iowa, where he graduated from Spencer High School. Shortly after graduation, Parker started farming with his father on a farm south of Spencer. On February 25, 1937, Parker was united in marriage to Helen Nielson, in Royal, Iowa. Following their marriage, Parker continued farming until he became a partner at the Ford Tractor Implement. He was also in a partnership with Johnson Truck Line. In October of 1965, Parker was united in marriage to his second wife Caroline Lancaster. Following their marriage Parker went back to farming. In his free time, he enjoyed horses and harness racing. On May 5, 2006, Parker passed away at St. Luke's Lutheran Home, at the age of 90. He was preceded in death by his parents; his second wife, Caroline; and one sister. Left to cherish his memory are his two children and their spouses, Bert and Georgia Adams, of Spencer, Iowa, and Judy and Rich Knudsen, of Dickens, Iowa; special friend, Helen Loothan; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Virginia Bellows, of Spencer, IA and Harriet and Wesley Heitzman, of Dubuque, Iowa; as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
SERVICES
Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at the Warner Chapel in Spencer

Visitation will begin at Noon on Monday with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.

Riverside Cemetery Spencer, Iowa
