Charles "Butch" Vernon Cherry, the son of Vernon Roscoe and Charlotte (Simington) Cherry, was born August 1, 1945 in Ruthven, IA. His childhood were spent in Silver Lake when his family moved there when he was 5 and then moved back to Spencer when he was 12, where he finished his education.
Throughout his life, Butch lived in Spencer, where he worked at several jobs including: John Quail Construction, Spencer Foods, self-employed construction work, CF Poulsen-Millright Construction, and for Marty Knide as a crane operator. In his spare time, Butch enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting, fishing, being around his grandkids as much as he could and spending time with the Spencer Bunch Motorcycle Club.
Butch passed away in Minneapolis, MN on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at the age of 69. He was preceded in death by his parents;
He is survived by his children: Brad Cherry of Clive, IA, Bobbi Jo Cherry and her friend, Brandon Sebesta of Sioux Falls, SD and Brent Cherry of Sioux Falls, SD; 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; two sisters: Delores (Neil) Batey of Raleigh, NC and Sharon Stone of Clearwater, FL; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 4, at the Warner Funeral Home.
