Charles "Chuck" Michael Pohar

Charles “Chuck” Michael Pohar., son of Charles and Jennie Pohar, was born on January 17, 1935 in LaSalle, Illinois. He passed away at Lakes Regional Medical Center on October 26, 2024 at the age of 89.

Chuck enjoyed playing the accordion and was an avid golfer. His daily routine included a Sudoku puzzle which he didn’t put down until it was done. He loved cheering for the Chicago Bears, the Chicago Cubs and the Iowa State Cyclones. He always had a candy drawer full of his favorites which included anything dark chocolate. He was a member of Daybreakers Kiwanis and enjoyed volunteering at the Clay County Fair. 

Survived by his wife of 47 years, Pam; sons Drew (Stephanie) and Darrin; grandchildren Taylor Pohar, Riley (Blake) Abrahamson, Sidney (Noah) Kustenbauder, and Max Pohar; and a great grandchild arriving in December. 

Preceded in death by his parents, brother Richard and daughter-in-law Julie Pohar. 

There will be a private family burial at a later date.
