Charles 'Tad' Mccord

Charles 'Tad' David McCord, the son of Keith and Grace 'Liz' Watkins McCord, was born on February 17, 1961, in St. Louis, MO. Tad and Kim lived in Spencer. Tad was employed at Mauer's as an electrician. He enjoyed camping, hiking, rock hunting, fishing, hunting, NASCAR, football, playing cards, playing pool and darts and working as a mechanic. Tad collected dolphins, wolves and eagle figurines, knives and Indian culture and you never saw him without his cowboy hat. Tad passed away on November 11, 2012, at Avera McKennan in Sioux Falls, SD, at the age of 51. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his mother; grandson, Jonathan Barber; one brother, Nick McCord and step-mother, Linda McCord. Left to cherish his memory are his 3 daughters: Jackie McCord of Marshalltown, IA, Melinda McCord of Melbourne, IA and Marcy Daily of Des Moines, IA; 2 grandchildren: Jos and Jeremiah Barber; his father, Keith McCord of Canton, OH; one sister, Cassandra of Virginia Beach VA; step-brother, Joey McCord and his wife Jenni of Washington D.C.; step-sister, Jennifer Codispot and husband, Leonard of Wahington D.C.; his significant other, Kim Hauan of Spencer, IA and her daughters: Mandy Snyder of Graettinger, IA and Stacey DeRuyter and her husband, Travis and their 3 children: Zack, Zander and Zoey all of Estherville, IA; other relatives and friends.
