Cheryl Lynn Walton

November 21, 1946 — December 13, 2006

Cheryl Lynn Walton, the daughter of Robert and Frances Samuelson Bonar, was born November 21, 1946, in Dunlap, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent in the Carter Oak, Spencer and Council Bluffs communities. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Council Bluffs in 1965. On March 20, 1966, Cheryl married Darrel Walton in Everly, IA. Except for a few months in Germany, they have made their home in Everly where they were self-employed for almost 30 years. Cheryl and Darrel owned and operated The Outcast and C & D Coffee Shop in Everly for 20 years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Everly. Cheryl passed away at the Spencer Hospital on Wednesday, December 13, 2006, at the age of 60. She was preceded in death by one son, Michael E. Walton; her mother, Frances D. Bonar and one brother, David A. Bonar. She is survived by her husband, Darrel, of Everly, IA; one daughter, Robin and her husband, DuWayne Olson and two grandchildren, Michaela and Johnathan, all of Minneapolis, MN; her father, Robert Bonar and stepmother, Thelma of Dow City, IA; one sister, Nancy Smith of San Diego, CA; two brothers: Robert J. Bonar of Council Bluffs, IA and Douglas A. Bonar of Arkansas; a step sister, Jane of Vail, IA; two stepbrothers: Keith Samuelson of Mapleton, IA and Kenny Samuelson of Council Bluffs, IA; other relatives and friends.
