Christopher Dean Hoger

Christopher Dean Hoger, the son of Harold and Lorraine Foxhoven Hoger, was born February 24, 1955 in Spencer, Iowa. He received his early education in Spencer and graduated from the Spencer High School in 1973. Following his schooling, Chris worked for Spencer Foods. On August 29, 1981, Chris married Kristi Schatzberg in Spencer, Iowa. Following their marriage, Chris worked for SMU for 20 years, Culligan, he painted with his brother, Clint and most recently he worked at ACE Hardware. In his spare time, Chris enjoyed fishing and looked forward every year to Walleye Weekend. On June 20, 2006, Chris passed away at the Spencer Hospital at the age of 51. He is preceded in death by his father, Harold Hoger and his father-in-law, Duane Schatzberg. Chris is survived by his wife, Kristi Hoger of Spencer; his children, Scott Hoger of Ames, IA and Megan Hoger of Spencer, IA; his mother, Lorraine Hoger of Spencer, IA; his mother-in-law, Dazey Schatzberg of Spencer, IA; two brothers: Hugh Hoger and his wife, Betty of Spencer, IA and Clint Hoger of Spencer, IA; brother-in-law, Steve Schatzberg of Spencer, IA; sister-in-law, Cindy Elbert and her husband, Kyle of Bloomington, MN; nieces and nephews and all of his many loved ones which includes other relatives and friends.
