Clair Emile Ducommun

Clair Emile Ducommun, the son of Emile and Mary Springer Ducommun, was born November 3, 1913 in Cleghorn, Iowa. His childhood years were spent in Cleghorn, where he received his education at Cleghorn schools. Clair married Marjory E. Ware in Cherokee, Iowa. Clair farmed in the Peterson area most of his life, until moving into Peterson in 1977 to work for the Baumgarten Funeral Home, which was later acquired by Warner Funeral Home. Clair retired and moved to Storm Lake, Iowa to be near his daughter, Ann where he had resided at the time of his death. Clair passed away at the Buena Vista County Memorial Hospital in Storm Lake, Iowa on Wednesday, February 15, 2006 at the age of 92. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marjory on May 1, 1988; one son, Ron; one daughter, Ann Ducommum; five brothers: Delmar, Frank, Alvin, Ralph and Roy and his sister, Marie O'Donnell. Left to cherish his memory are his children: Frosty and his wife, Janet Ducommun of Neosho, MO, Julie and her fianc� Ron of Sioux City, IA and Don Ducommun of Neosho, MO; 8 grandchildren: Shane and his wife, Shin Jung Ducommun, Lisa and her husband, Jim McGrath, Angela, Travis, Boone, Ronni, Marjory and Bobby Ducommun; four great grandchildren: Caelan and Ella Ducommun and Addison and Cole McGrath; one son-in-law, George Hueshen; one daughter-in-law, Robin Ducommun; two sisters: Mrs. Elva Hoogterp and Enola and her husband, Ronnie Stienke; three sister-in-law's: Mrs. Robert Kintigh, Mrs. Jean Peterson and Mrs. Sophia Ducommun; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
