Cleo Evelyn Wolthuis

August 24, 1919 — February 8, 2012

Cleo Evelyn Wolthuis, the daughter of Charlie and Minnie (Johannsen) Kohn, was born August 24, 1919, in Spencer, IA. Her childhood years were spent in Spencer where she received her education, graduating from Spencer High School in 1938. Cleo married Martin Wolthuis on April 12, 1941, in Jackson, MN. During their married years, they farmed near Everly, Estherville, Spencer and the Fostoria areas. Following their retirement, they moved to Fostoria. She worked at the Senior Center part time for 7 to 8 years. She was a member of the Everly Methodist Church. She passed away at the Spencer Hospital on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at the age of 92. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Martin; and two sons: Jimmie and Richard Wolthuis; two children in infancy, Susan and Roger; one sister, Helen and a granddaughter, Bobbi Jo. Left to cherish her memory are six grandchildren: Michael and his wife, Kristi, Codie, Chance and Ross Wolthuis, Tobie Palmer, and Jamie Tipton; six great- grandchildren: Tyler Hager, Tyler Wolthuis, Jared, Kelsey, Teresa and Jerimya; four great-great- grandchildren: Tanner, Camdon, Mira and Deakin; other relatives and friends.
SERVICES
Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M., Saturday, February 11, 2012 at the Warner Chapel in Spencer.

Visitation will begin 2:30 P.M., Friday with the family present from 5 to 7:00 P.M., Friday Evening at the Warner Funeral Home in Spencer.

INTERMENT
North Lawn Memorial Park Spencer, Iowa A lunch and time of fellowship will be held at the VFW Hall South of the Cemetery immediately following the graveside services.
