Clifford Harold Hartmann

March 15, 1923 — December 8, 2014

Clifford Harold Hartmann, the son of Otto and Mary (Hansen) Hartmann, was born March 15, 1923 in Waterford Twsp., Clay County, IA. His childhood years were spent in Everly, where he received his education, graduating from Everly High School. He was baptized, confirmed and was a life time member of Hope Lutheran Church of Everly. Cliff married Luella Schmidt on August 31, 1947 in Everly. To this union: two children were born: James Wendel Hartmann and Joel Wayne Hartmann. Luella died December 23, 1975. On August 13, 1977, he married Eleanor Randolph Kunzmann. They resided on the family farm northeast of Everly, until July 1983 at which time they moved into Everly. Eleanor died March 8, 1993. Mr. Hartmann was a farmer all of his life. He was an active member of Hope Lutheran Church in Everly. He was very active in church activities, including helping usher at funerals, serving on the church council and teaching Sunday school. He was also a member of the Farm Bureau, the Lion's Club and was on the United Farmer's Telephone Co. board of directors. He passed away at St. Luke Lutheran Home on Monday, December 8, 2014 at the age of 91. He was preceded in death by his parents; his two wives; one brother, Amos Hartmann and one sister, Berdeva Rost. Survivors include his two sons: James Hartmann and his wife, Nancy and Joel Hartmann and his wife, Susie all of Everly; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one brother, Willie Hartmann of Everly; two stepsons: Craig (Linda) Kunzmann of Everly and Rick Kunzmann of Sioux Falls, SD; six stepgrandcildren; other relatives and many friends.
SERVICES
Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M., Saturday, December 13, 2014 at the Hope Lutheran Church in Everly

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7:00 P.M., Friday, December 12, 2014 with the family present at the Warner Funeral Home in Everly.
