Clifford James Dehrkoop, the son of Louis and Viola Mayou Dehrkoop, was born October 4, 1928 in Everly. He received his education and graduated from the Everly High School. Following his schooling, Cliff entered the United States Air Force in 1950 and served until his honorable discharge in 1951.
Cliff married Bonnie Mann on December 27, 1952. To this union two children were born, Louis and Debra. Following their marriage, Cliff farmed and raised cattle. Later, Cliff worked at the Everly Elevator for 15 years.
Cliff married Sylvia DeWitt on December 20, 1980 in Everly. They made their home in Everly. Cliff was a member of the Hope Lutheran Church in Everly where he served as a Board member, later he joined the Bethany Lutheran Church in Spencer where he was an active member and recently, Cliff was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Spencer. He was also a member of the American Legion Everett Boyles, Jr Post #414 in Everly. In his spare time, Cliff enjoyed NASCAR and sprint car, the Iowa Hawkeyes and he especially loved spending time with his children and grand children.
Cliff passed away on April 12, 2011 at his home in Everly at the age of 82. He is preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Bonnie.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia of Everly; his children: Louis Dehrkoop of Everly and Debra (Don) Northcott of Lincoln, NE; 5 grandchildren: Michael (Vicki) Dehrkoop, Michaela and Mason; Matthew (Sarah) Dehrkoop, Isabel and Gracie; Ashleigh (Josh) Topolski, Jordan, Jasmine and Mason; Courtney Warland and D.J. Northcott, Jr.; step children: Craig (Melanie) Regnier of Salina, KS, Chris (Brenda) Regnier of Bel Aire, KS, Chad Regnier of Wichita, KS, Shawn (Beverly) DeWitt of Scottsdale, AZ and Stacy Lonning of Casa Grande, AZ; 6 step grandchildren; his sister, Connie Williams of Spencer, IA; nieces: Julie Williams of Spencer, IA and Shelly (Galen) Sindt of Fostoria, IA; nephew, Gary Williams of Tallahassee, FL; daughter-in-law, Janet Dehrkoop of Everly, IA; other relatives and many friends.

SERVICES
Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at the Warner Funeral Home in Everly.
