Clovis H. Morse, the son of Clarence and Rose Marie Arel Morse, was born December 6, 1935 in North Troy, Vermont. His childhood years were spent in North Troy, where he received his education.
On October 26, 1968, Clovis married Joyce Brooks in North Troy, VT and following their marriage, they lived in Newport Center, VT and in 1976, they moved to Spencer, where he worked for Eaton Corporation for almost 22 years, until his retirement. He also attended Bible College and became a licensed minister. While living in Spencer, he was an active member of the Sioux Rapids Baptist Church, where he assisted in the church's ministerial needs and served as music director of the church.
Clovis passed away at his home in Spencer, on Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at the age of 71. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Joyce on February 11, 1998.
He is survived by one daughter, Hope Beam and her husband, Troy of Norfolk, NE; one son, Thomas Morse and his wife, Marcia of Spencer, IA; two grandchildren: Elizabeth Morse and Wesley Morse; 8 brothers and sisters: Doris Wright of Windsor, VT, Frank Morse of Brooksville, FL, William and Katie Morse of Hyannis Port, MA, Richard and Dee Dee Morse of Cornish, NH, Gordon and Shirley Morse of Clarmont, NH, Pearl and Bob Landry of Tunbridge, VT; Florence Dau of Clarmont, NH and Shirley and Reg Remick of Newport, NH; his father and mother-in-law, Lincoln and Kathy Brooks of Spencer, IA; other relatives and many friends.
SERVICES
Funeral Services will be held 10:30 A.M., Monday, October 29, 2007 at the Sioux Rapids Baptist Church in Sioux Rapids, Iowa.
