Colleen Marie Hart

Colleen Marie Hart, the daughter of Joseph and Elsie (Gummo) Erickson, was born February 10, 1928 in Galva, Iowa. Colleen grew up in Schaller. At the age of 8, following the death of her parents, she moved to Sioux Rapids to live with her Aunt Ellen and Uncle Al Turnquist and she received her education and graduated from the Sioux Rapids High School. Colleen married Darrell Eugene Hart on June 10, 1951 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Following their marriage, they farmed near Webb, Iowa. Colleen also worked at the Webb School, Sioux Rapids Care Center and as a secretary at the Coop Elevator. In February of 1994, they moved to Spencer, Iowa. She was a long time member of the United Methodist Church in Webb where she sang in the choir. Colleen and Darrell enjoyed going to dances throughout the area. Colleen also was a Spencer Hospital volunteer. In her spare time, Colleen enjoyed crafts, gardening and most of all, her family. Colleen passed away on November 5, 2013 at St. Luke Lutheran Home in Spencer at the age of 85. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brother, Alan Erickson; 2 sisters, Frances Gilmore and Marge Johanson; one infant sister. She is survived by her children: Candy Kamradt and her husband, Herman of Spirit Lake, IA, Beth Blair and her husband, Brad of Spencer, IA and Ray Hart of Webb, IA; 6 grandchildren: Chris and Wanda Hart, Jamie and Sean Hefner, Josh and Jason Hart, Brooke Pierson, Brianna and Logan Adams; 12 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends
SERVICES
Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, November 8, 2013 at Garfield Cemetery in Webb, Iowa

Is open to the public begining at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday at Warner Funeral Home in Spencer.
