Spirit Lake

Colton Mitchell Baschke, the son of Mitch & Missy Baschke was born on June 23, 1991 in Spencer IA. Colton grew up in Spencer and graduated from Spencer High School in 2009. He then attended college at ICCC in Fort Dodge and then ILCC in Spencer. Colton was employed at Polaris Industries in Spirit Lake where he worked as a robot programmer in the liquid paint department. Colton moved to Spirit Lake IA in 2015 after he purchased his first home.

Colton was a very outgoing person. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting and fishing, which he started doing at an early age with his dad, grandpa and uncle.

Colton loved playing golf, especially when he partnered with his very close cousin Matthew against his uncles. Colton always made sure to spend time with his two dogs, Jason & Jackson by taking them on their daily walks. He also spent time working on projects he wanted done on his home with his mom and dad.

Colton was a devoted Detroit Lions fan and never missed watching a football game. Most of all - Colton loved spending time with his family and very good friends.

Colton always wore a big smile on his face. He loved to make people laugh with his singing and dancing. He had an endless amount of energy and his presence brightened everyones day. Colton made lasting friendships everywhere he went. He was very loyal, making sure that he stayed in contact with the close friends that had left the area. Colton never criticized or had anything bad to say about anyone. He genuinely cared about everybody. Colton truly had a big loving heart and was an inspiration to all who knew him..

Left to cherish his memories are his parents Mitch & Missy Baschke of Spencer, his sister Lexy Lindenbusch (Thad) and three nephews, Quincy, Owen & Corbin of North Liberty, IA, his grandparents Frank & Cindy Krieger of Spencer, Janet Baschke of Milford, Don Baschke of Dundee MN, his “brother” Chris Fitzpatrick of Spencer, many uncles, aunts and cousins and a countless number of good friends.
