Connie Jean Baker

Connie Jean Baker was born on January 23, 1954 in Spencer, Iowa.  Her early childhood years in Everly.  She graduated from Spencer High School in 1973.  On June 16, 1973, she married her husband, Kent.  They welcomed her first child, Lisa, that same year.  Three years later, they welcomed their second child, Michael.

     Connie held several different jobs, but the most joy for her came from her days as a cook and dietary aide at Longhouse Residence.

     At home, Connie enjoyed spending time with her cat Smokie, and also enjoyed spending time with her hobby of collecting pig ornaments.  She looked forward to her many visits with friends from Bethany Lutheran Church.  She also found great joy in cooking and baking.

     Connie passed away on October 2, 2017 at the Spencer Hospital.  She is preceded in death by her mother Helen, father LaVerne, step-father Marvin, sister-in-law Karen and nieces Kristi and Jody. 

     She is survived by her husband Kent, daughter Lisa, son Michael, sisters Debbie and Linda, brothers Dennis and Charles, sister-in-law Judy and several nieces and nephews.   

SERVICES
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Friday, October 6, 2017 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Spencer.
