Connie Kay Paulsen, the daughter of Glenn Wayne and Herma Louise Zahren Hensley, was born in Lake Park, Iowa. She received her early education and graduated from the Excelsior Consolidated School. Connie continued her education at Morningside College in Sioux City, and Eau Claire College in Wisconsin.
On November 24, 1961, Connie married Curtis Amos Paulsen in Lake Park, Iowa. Following their marriage, they made their home in Spencer. Connie worked at the Spencer Hospital as a Registered Medical Tech for many years. She was an active member of the Hope Reformed Church where she enjoyed doing the church bulletin boards. She enjoyed sewing and dancing along with wintering in Arizona with Curtis.
On February 24, 2013, Connie passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix, AZ at the age of 73. She is preceded in death by her parents, and one son-in-law, Joey Elbert.
She is survived by her husband, Curtis of Spencer; her daughters: Jamie Elbert of Spirit Lake, IA, and her children: Alyssa and Casey, and Carma Moran and husband, Bryce of Panama City Beach, FL, and their children: Tessa and Alex; two brothers: Steve Hensley of Tomah, WI, and Stan Hensley (Mary) of Monterey, WI; one sister, DeAnn Fern of Eau Claire, WI; other relatives and many friends.
SERVICES
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 4 at Hope Reformed Church in Spencer, IA.
