Constance Elizabeth Binder, the daughter of Charles Leo and Hilda Luella Shaw Hall, was born March 5, 1924 in Goldfield, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent in Meservey, Iowa, where she received her education in rural schools and later graduated from Meservey High School. Following her schooling, she continued to live in Meservey until moving to Spencer in 1956, where she worked as a housekeeper for Chris Binder.
Connie married Chris Edward Binder on April 25, 1970, in Royal, Iowa. Following their marriage, they continued to live on a farm near Royal. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Royal where she was active in the church circle, the altar guild and held several offices and woman of the church. She was a member of the Woman's Relief Corps, secretary of the Iowa Department of Women's Relief Corps, Annett Corps #287 and held several offices with them. Connie enjoyed collecting kerosene lamps, vases, dolls and horses and loved to do handiwork.
Constance passed away at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa, on Thursday, November 2, 2006, at the age of 82. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Chris, on September 23, 1994; two brothers, Franklin Joseph and Jerome; one sister, Sharon Lee.
She is survived by; one sister, Wyona and her husband, Faye Denger of Clarion, IA; one brother, Charles and his wife, Liz Hall of Des Moines, IA; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, November 7, 2006, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, in Royal, Iowa
