Craig Irvin Woodall, the son of Chris and Wanda (Snow) Woodall, was born on January 27, 1956, in Spencer, Iowa. He grew up attending and graduating from Clay Central in Royal, Iowa. He was a lifelong member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church where he was baptized and confirmed. After high school he worked at Lundell Enterprises in Cherokee and later at Spencer Foods. He eventually started farming with his dad Chris in the Royal area.
On January 20, 1979, Craig married Barb Smith in Royal. Following their marriage, they continued to farm in the Royal area with their sons Chris & Charles. He also owned and operated Woodall Trucking with his brother Jay. Craig enjoyed carpentry, building swing sets for his grandkids, welding, plumbing and anything he could fix on his own. He loved watching any activity his grandkids participated in. Craig loved his bulldogs, Benny & Hope. His pride and joy were his grandchildren and he was honored and privileged to be a great grandfather to Ledger.
Craig passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019, at the Sandford Medical Center in Sheldon, at the age of 63. He was preceded in by his parents, his uncles: William and Theodore Woodall.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Barb of Hartley, IA; his children: Chris Woodall (Amanda) of Sutherland, IA, Heidi Woodall (Scotty) of El Paso, TX, Sarah Dehrkoop (Matt) of Everly, IA, Lenah Meyer (Shane) of Everly, IA and Charles Woodall (Jade) of Hartley, IA; 8 grandchildren; one great grandchild; his brother, Jay Woodall (Starr) of Sutherland, IA; his sisters: Connie Woodall of Spencer, IA, Carolyn Farmer (Tom) of Clear Lake, IA and Cindy O’Bright (Lew) of Ottertail Lake, MN; other relatives and friends.
