Craig Jeffrey Rosenboom

Craig Jeffrey Rosenboom, 56 of Le Mars, IA, died on Monday, August 14, 2023 due to complications of pneumonia.

     Craig was born to Marion and Shirley (Thormodsgard) Rosenboom, on November 18, 1966, in Sheldon, IA.  Craig came into the world 6 weeks early at 5lbs. 6 oz.

     Craig was a 1985 graduate of Clay Central High School, where he participated in many sports including football, basketball and baseball.  He also enjoyed fishing and spending time with his nephews and nieces playing games.  He was always interested in how they were all doing.

     On December 2, 1989, Craig married his high school sweetheart, Susan Mortenson.  Together they have two daughters, Lindsey and Rachael.  Craig was very proud of his daughters and grandchildren.  He was very proud of his girls for continuing their education and becoming excellent nurses.

     Over the years, Craig worked at the Prime Rib – where he enjoyed cooking.  Prentice Backhoe as a heavy equipment operator and driving semitruck.

     He is preceded in death by his step-father, Jon Davies. His grandparents, Henry and Jennie Rosenboom and Delores Wilzinski.

     Left to cherish his memory are his children: Lindsey (Tyler) Ruble and Greyson of Chariton, IA and Rachael (Kyle) Baetsle and Kinley and Kadence of Madrid, IA; his mother, Shirley Davies of Spencer, IA; his father, Marion Rosenboom of Spencer, IA; siblings: Chris (Steve) Olson of Linn Grove, IA, Tim (Jeanine) Rosenboom of Dickinson, ND, Tammy (David) Ault of Mt. Airy, MD, nieces and nephews: Jerod, Travis, Trenton, Shaunna, Austin, T.J., Cody, Brady, Joshua, Jessica, Jacob and Jenessa; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
