Crystal Erline Klatt

Crystal Erline Klatt, the daughter of James and Christina (Peterson) Dickeson, was born March 16, 1927 near Rossie, IA. Her childhood years were spent in Spencer, Iowa, where she received her education, graduating from Spencer High School in 1945. Crystal married Keith Klatt on July 16, 1949 in Royal, Iowa. Keith and Crystal lived north of Linn Grove, Iowa for the last 50 years. She was well known for her generous and lively spirit. Crystal was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Linn Grove, assisting with several ministries. She was a sewing/quilting expert and taught several area women over the last few decades. Anyone who met Crystal was greeted with a warm smile and open arms. She passed away at Longhouse Residence in Spencer, Iowa on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at the age of 85. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Lyle, Roger and Darrel Dickeson and one son, Jim Klatt in 2012. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Keith of Linn Grove; one son: Timothy and his girlfriend, Lisa Huckaby of Peterson, IA; one daughter, Benita and her husband, Lee Heldt of Ankeny, IA; six grandchildren: Jim's sons: Shannon, Jamie and wife, Alea, & Dustin; Tim's daughter, Anna and Benita's sons: Aaron & Adam; a daughter-in-law, Mary Klatt of Sioux Rapids, IA; 13 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; one brother, James Dickeson of Afton, NY and cousin, Patricia Gruenberg of Thermal CA; other relatives and many friends.
