Dale Allan Pomeroy

Dale Allan Pomeroy, was received into this world on February 5, 1953 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. His early years of life where spent in Laurens, Iowa. He received his early education in Laurens and attended Ayrshire Consolidated School where he graduated from High School. He then went on to Iowa Tech and graduated with high honors with a meat cutter degree. On June 21, 1980, Dale married Brenda Lea Simpson and from this union, three sons were born: Casey, Shayne and Calvin. Dale worked various jobs, from being a meat cutter at Joyce's Foods to selling Electrolux vacuums. He also helped his dad in his carpentry work and later in life due to his failing health, he lent a helping hand to Uncle Weiner by mowing and pushing snow and being Ed's extra hand. He also helped each and every family member or friend he could. Dale was always a "horse-trader" and salesman, trying to make a buck. Dale's love for God, his family and his friends were always showing. He also enjoyed his Harley, fishing, hunting and raising dogs. On June 30, 2007, Dale passed away as a result of a motorcycle accident in Gillett Grove, Iowa at the age of 54. He is preceded in death by his father, Bob Bowman; grandparents: Herb and Mary Mohr and Kenneth and Grace Pullen. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Pomeroy of Ruthven; his three boys: Casey Pomeroy and his wife, Tonya and Shayne Pomeroy all of Woodbine, IA and Calvin Pomeroy of Ruthven, IA; one grandson, Jaxon Pomeroy; his "ma", Marilyn Bowman of Fairmont, MN; sister and brothers: Sherry and Larry Clark of Spencer, IA, Gayle and Steve Zoch of Fairmont, MN, Coleen and Jim Caskey of Spencer, IA, Pam Bolte of Rembrant, IA, Dan and Alice Pomeroy of Laurens, IA, Doreen Sawyer of Estherville, IA and David and Heath Pomeroy.
