Dale "Killer" Arthur Killmer, the son of Freddie John and Helen Louise Butler Killmer, was born June 24, 1941, in Hartley, Iowa. He received his early education and graduated from the Hartley High School in 1959. Following his schooling, Dale entered the U.S. Navy in 1959 and served on the USS Newport News, CA-148, until his honorable discharge in 1963.
Dale worked at Helen's Laundry for 18 years. In 1976, he started working at Eaton Corporation until retiring in 2002. For 30 years, Dale helped with the Boy Scouts in various capacities. He was a member of the American Legion and the Grace United Methodist Church.
Dale passed away on May 28, 2008, at the Spencer Hospital at the age of 66. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Left to cherish his memory are his children: one daughter, Chantel Marie Killmer of Bella Vista, AR and one son, Regan John Killmer of Baton Rouge, LA; three brothers: Roger Killmer and his wife, Joanne of Spencer, IA, Ronald Killmer and his wife, Pam of Bondurant, IA, and Randy Killmer and his wife, Martha of Spencer, IA; one sister, Joyce Dirks of Spencer, IA; other relatives and many friends.
Immediately following the committal service at North Lawn Memorial Park, the family would like to invite everyone to a potluck located at East Leach Park.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Monday, June 2, 2008, at Grace United Methodist Church in Spencer, Iowa.
