Dale Martin Tesch

Dale Martin Tesch, the son of Harry and Nora Holtgrewe Tesch was born July 17, 1946 in Paullina, Iowa.  Dale received his early education from Primghar Country School and graduated from the Primghar High School. 

     On August 6, 1965, Dale married Rita Van Heuvelen at the American Reform Church in Primghar.  Following their marriage, they lived in the communities of Sheldon, IA, Spencer, IA, Des Moines, IA, Sioux Falls, SD and Milford, IA.  For 32 years, Dale worked for Northwestern Bell as a manager of outside plant engineering, retiring in 2011.  He was an active member of previous churches, serving as Elder and Deacon and presently member of Good News Community Church.  In his retirement, Dale enjoyed driving a pilot car for oversized vehicles.  He also loved being active outdoors mowing, washing his cars, cleaning his boat and fishing.  Most of all, Dale loved spending time with his family.

     Dale passed away on December 27, 2017 at the Accura Health Care in Milford, Iowa at the age of 71.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Nora Tesch; his father and mother-in-law, Bert and Dorothy Van Heuvelen; sister, Elaine Wacker along with one infant sister and nephew, Loren Tesch.

     He is survived by his wife, Rita of Milford, IA; daughter, Denise Staley of Cocoa, FL; son, Michael (Abbie) Tesch of Spencer, IA; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brothers: Eldon (Harriet) Tesch of Spencer, IA and Harlan Tesch of Milford, IA; sister, Sharon (Tim) Kohn of Ashton, IA; other relatives and friends.
