Dana Joyce Davis

Dana J. Davis, the daughter of Donald and Mary Davis, was born September 6, 1962 in San Pedro, CA. Her childhood years were spent in San Pedro, where she received her education, graduating from San Pedro High School. Dana married Richard Rosado and to this union three children were born: Daryl, Richy and Alex. Dana later moved to Florida where she met Wayne Moffitt and moved her family to Spencer, Iowa, where they lived the rest of her life. She worked at several businesses in Spencer, including Longhouse Residence, Simonsen Ironworks, Spencer Golf and Country Club where she ran the kitchen and managed the bar and would jump in the golf cart to deliver beverages to golfers, and most recently Sports Page, before her retirement. She was very active with her children and their friends and was known as a 'Sports Mom' and 'A 2nd mother to all her children's friends.' She will always be remembered to all that knew her as a huge Pittsburgh Steeler Fan. Dana passed away at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at the age of 53. She was preceded in death by a son, Daryl in 2004. Left to cherish her memory are her longtime companion, Wayne Moffitt of Spencer; her sons: Richy Rosado and his girlfriend, Amber Laubenthal of Spencer and Alex Rosado and his wife, Brittney of Waukee, IA; her mother, Mary Davis of Long Beach, CA; one sister, Teri Davis of Long Beach, CA; a brother, Donald Davis of San Pedro, CA; other relatives and many, many friends.
