Daniel Raye Duitsman

Daniel Raye Duitsman, the son of Donald Lewis and Doreen (Luehring) Duitsman, was born June 8, 1960 in Ames, Iowa. His childhood years were spent in Ames until his family moved to Spencer, Iowa. He attended grade school in Spencer and later graduated from Spencer High School in 1978. Dan married Pam Fideler in 1985 in Spencer, Iowa and to this union was born two sons: Drew and Logan Duitsman. Dan spent his career as a golf course superintendent. He passed away at the Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls, SD on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at the age of 52. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald L. and one brother, Donald J. Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Doreen and her husband, Gilbert Scribner of Spencer; his two sons: Drew Duitsman of Fargo, ND and Logan Duitsman and their mother of Eden Prairie, MN; his significant other, Sue Fliss of Spencer, Iowa; one brother, Doug of Ft. Dodge, IA; one sister, Deb Elliott and her husband, Steve and their son, Jacob all of Andover, MN; his beloved dog, Sophie; other relatives and many friends.
SERVICES
Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M., Saturday, August 11, 2012 at the Warner Chapel in Spencer.

Riverside Cemetery Spencer, Iowa A lunch and time of fellowship will be held at Faith Lutheran Church in Spencer following the committal service.
