Danny Dean Leslie, the son of Lawrence William and Peggy Ann (Mangels) Leslie, was born on June 23, 1959 in Hartley, Iowa. He was raised in Everly where he started his schooling then moving to Gillett Grove when he was in 6th grade, attending South Clay. He finished his schooling in Spencer, graduating in 1979. After graduation, Danny he helped his father and brothers in the family carpentry business. He also was a handyman helping people in Dickens with mowing lawns and trimming trees and doing other odd jobs. Danny was a devoted to his family, rarely seen without his brothers and his cousin, George. He and his sister, Deanna had a special bond. He was a doting uncle to her three children: Sarah, Molly and Tyler, he treated them like his own kids. Danny also liked to fish and play cards with friends. Danny passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at the Sanford Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 57. He was preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory are his two brothers: Loren and Perry of Dickens; one sister, Deanna Clasing and her husband, Jay of Ruthven and their children: Sarah, Molly and Tyler; his cousin, George Hintz of Everly, IA; other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday, October 29, at the Warner Chapel in Spencer.
