Darlane L. Campbell, the daughter of Clifford and Tena (Meyer) Wright, was born September 11, 1917, in Carnarvon, Iowa. Dar attended school in Sac County.
On May 10, 1933, Dar married Lorenzo Campbell in Lake City, Iowa. In December of 1943, Dar and Ren moved to Royal where they raised their family. Ren passed away on September 29, 1986.
Dar worked at Wonder Whip in Fostoria, Iowa for 35 years. In 1987, she moved to Spencer. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary where she was President for one year. Dar was a member of the United Methodist Church in Royal, Iowa, where she was involved in United Methodist Women. She also helped with Pony Express in Clay County.
In her spare time, Dar enjoyed playing Bingo at the nursing home, playing cards with her friends, fishing, painting, wall papering and giving home permanents. Dar especially enjoyed time she spent with her family.
Dar passed at Northshire Residence in Spencer on April 25, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; four brothers: Melvin, Wayne, Robert and Kenny; two sisters: Elenora and Dorothy; two sons and daughter-in-law: Bob and Janet Campbell, and Merle Campbell; 6 grandchildren: James Stevenson, Ren Grotzky, Ranchie Grotzky, Todd Thompson, Terry Campbell and Richard Wells; two great-grandchildren: Jeremy Warren and Shawna Warren; and one great-great-grandchild, Joseph Robert Campbell.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Lela Warren of Spencer, Marilyn (Irvin) Stevenson of Spencer, Carol (Jim) Scott of Gillett Grove, Judy (Doug) Peterson of Florida, and Jack (Becky) Campbell of Spencer; 16 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; 46 great-great-grandchildren; one great-great-great grandchild; sisters: Dee Blessington of Lakeview, and Donna Dyker of Minnesota; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at First Christian Church in Spencer.
