Darlene Marian O'Sullivan, the daughter of Alfred and Ida (Rasmussen) Anderson, was born on April 23, 1933, on a farm north of Royal, IA. She grew up and received her early education there until the family moved to Spencer where she graduated from Spencer High School. Following high school she went to beauty school in Sioux City. She then worked at Younkers for a short time.
Darlene married Ernest O'Sullivan on July 20, 1968, in 1968, at the Grace Methodist Church in Spencer. Following their marriage, they moved to Spencer. Darlene was a homemaker and took care of her mother. She liked to read and watch television. She enjoyed animals, especially her cats. She loved to spend time with her nieces when they came to visit.
She passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2015, at the Spencer Hospital at the age of 82. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ernest; three brothers: Leonard, Francis and Howard.
Left to cherish her memory are her stepdaughter, Sheila Evans of Nemaha, IA; two sisters: Viola Hagedorn of Spirit Lake, IA and Luella Lindt of Kingman, KS; her nieces; her sister-in-law, Elsie Anderson of Royal; other relatives and friends.
SERVICES
Graveside Services will be 1:30P.M., Wednesday, November 25 at the Willow Creek Cemetery in Royal.
