Daryl 'Bub' Louie Hausmann, the son of Louis and Ida (Dumdei) Hausmann, was born May 19, 1926, in Dickinson County, IA. His childhood years were spent on a farm near Fostoria where he received his education, graduating from Okoboji Consolidated School.
Bub married Doris Beck on August 25, 1946, on her family's farm near Royal, IA. Following their marriage, they moved to Royal to raise their family and farm the family farm. Bub was a member of the United Methodist Church in Royal. He loved to play cards and excelled in Bridge. He was a member of the Lion's Club and the Odd Fellows in Royal.
