Dawn Renee Vodraska

Dawn Renee Kladstrup, the daughter of Dennis and Rita Kladstrup was born September 4th, 1961 in Spirit lake, Iowa.  Dawn received her education in Spencer graduating from Spencer High School in 1981.

On July 2nd of 1987  she married the love of her life Joseph Vodraska.

They lived in Spirit Lake, Humboldt and back to her hometown of Spencer.

Dawn worked for Echo Plus in Spirit Lake and West Fork in Humboldt and finished her working career at the Sunshine Center in Spencer.

In her spare time she enjoyed cooking (making her speciality pies), going to bingo. playing cards and spending time with her family. She was a joyful and caring person. She had a way of saying things that nobody else could imagine, making people laugh.  She enjoyed her time with the employees of Hope Haven Services.

In December of 2018 Dawn and Joe moved into the Pearl Valley Rehabilitation and Nursing in Primghar , Iowa. Dawn was put on the Iowa Donor List and she was able to donate her corneas and skin tissue and bone structures to others in need.

Dawn passed away May 11th, 2019 at the Baum Harmon Mercy Hospital in Primghar, Iowa

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents and her father and brother(Fred Kladstrup), many aunts and uncles. 

She is survived by her husband Joe, her mother Rita Kladstrup of Spencer, brother Steve (Linda) Kladstrup of Spencer, sister Shelly (Curt) Johnson of Spencer, sister Heather (Josh) Buck of Alabama. Nephews Tony (Sarah) Kladstrup, Bryan Kladstrup, Christian (Kasey) Kladstrup, niece Katie Kladstrup,  Alex (Mackenzie) Johnson, Austin Johnson ,Adam Johnson and Brian (Sheena) Kladstrup. Great nieces Adalynn  Kladstrup, Brynlee Kladstrup and Millie Johnson,

Dawn will be missed by many.  Our memories of her will be cherished forever.
