Delbert Lee Clague, the son of Thomas and Edith Faulkender Clague was born July 27, 1925 in Freeman Township in Clay County, Iowa. After his mother passed away at the age of seven he lived with his maternal grandparents. He attended grade school in Summit Township and graduated from Spencer High School in 1942.
Delbert worked as a farmhand for Wayne & Hazel Dodge and Herman & Louise Struchen and became a part of their families. He married Waneta Winslow on July 27, 1947 at the Langdon Methodist Church in Langdon, Iowa. He enjoyed reading, working with his livestock, hauling corn and family picnics. He was especially proud to be a farmer.
Delbert passed away Monday, February 11, 2013 at the Spencer Hospital at the age of 87. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother Berle.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Waneta of Milford, Iowa; 2 children, Carolyn (Dennis Hopfinger) Clague of Brookings, South Dakota and Allen (Camille) Clague of Gilbert, Iowa; 2 grandsons, Nathan and Benjamin Clague; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

SERVICES
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M., Friday, February 15, at the Warner Funeral Chapel in Spencer.
