Deloris Hazel Riley, the daughter of William and Mildred (Vogt) Plagge) was born on July 9, 1933 in Denison, Iowa. She was raised and attended school at Zion Lutheran School.
On December 25, 1951, she was united in marriage to Richard Riley in Chariton, IA. Following their marriage, the couple moved to Spencer for Richard’s job. They lived here for a short time and then moved back to Denison only to move back to northwest Iowa and living in the communities of Greenville, Royal, Peterson and Hartley before settling in Spencer 1971. She started working at AALFS manufacturing and then she worked at Superior until her retirement. She and Richard owned and operated YE Old Fish Shoppe from 1986 to 1989. The couple lived in Moneta where she raised dogs. The dogs were everything to Deloris. Deloris also loved to cook.
Deloris passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2019, at Northshire Residence at the age of 85. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard in 2004 and 2 brothers.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Susan Clark of Melvin, IA; her sons: Dan (Cheryl) of Spencer, IA, Dave (Denise) of Peterson, IA and Steve of Terril, IA; Jack Steinkuehler (Colleen) of Denison, IA who Dick and Deloris raised; 15 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; two sisters: Doris (Jim) Bartholomew of Storm Lake, IA and Lois Hansen of Fonda, IA; two sisters-in-law, JoAnn Plagge and Pat Plagge Jorgenson both of Denison, IA; other relatives and friends.

Visitation will now be held from 2 to 4:00 P.M., Sunday, March 24th with the family present at the Warner Funeral Home in Spencer.
