Dennis Parsons

December 2, 1956 — December 7, 2009

Dennis Parsons, the son of Elmer and Mary Jane Saunders Parsons, was born December 2, 1956 in Spencer, Iowa. Dennis received his early education and graduated from the South Clay High School in 1975. Following his schooling, Dennis worked for Rich Adams and also Northwest Moving and Storage. Dennis then began farming with his brother, Joel and they operated the Parsons' Swath and Bale business. Farming was Dennis' great passion, he loved being outdoors and working the land. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and riding his motorcycle. Dennis especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Recently, Dennis received Jesus into his life . Dennis passed away on December 7, 2009 at his home with his family by his side at the age of 53. He is preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his son, Luke Parsons of Gillett Grove, IA; his two grandchildren: Jayci and Tayten; his mother, Mary Jane Parsons of Webb, IA; his siblings: Tamra (Gary) Riecke of Big Fork, MT, Christine (Larry) Beck of Spencer, IA, Janeen (Bill) Madson of Webb, IA, Janel (David) Maurer of Spencer, IA, Joel (Tonna) Parsons of Webb, IA and Darryl Parsons of Webb, IA; several nieces and nephews and many friends.

SERVICES

Funeral Services will be held at 2:30pm on Friday, December 11, 2009 at the Warner Chapel in Spencer.
