Dollene 'Dolly Kay' (Webber) Kinnetz, the daughter of Hannes 'Shorty' Velva (Thietje) Klinker, was born January 13, 1950 at the Hand Hospital in Hartley, Iowa. Dolly's childhood years was spent growing up in Hartley until the 9th grade, at which time her parents moved to Sutherland. Dolly's parents moved to Slayton, Minnesota where Dolly graduated high school. In 1969 until 1970, Dolly attended Larson School of Hairstyling and received her license in 1971. After working for Mrs. Verdo's Beauty Shop for a short time. Dolly met Keith L. Webber and they married on February 12, 1971 and with this union three children were born: Kristian, Darcey and Kassie. Dolly & Keith divorced in 1992. Dolly then remarried to Paul W. Kinnetz in 1996 and they enjoyed their life together until her death.
Dolly ran Dolly's Day Care in Spencer from 1973 until 1992 and then worked for Longhouse/Northshire as a housekeeper for ten years along with watching her grandchildren part time. Dolly eventually retired, so she could watch her grandchildren full time.
Dolly loved her crafts and her lake property and enjoyed her weekends and summers, fishing, swimming, boat riding, going for golf cart rides, watching sunsets over the lake and spending every waking moment with her husband, Paul and her grandchildren. Dolly enjoyed and loved her life to the fullest.
She is survived by her husband, Paul: one sister, Kella; her son, Kristian Webber and his wife, Carrie and their children: Caden, and Brynn of Linn Grove, IA; her daughter, Darcey Lame and her husband, Joe and their children: Chance, Autumn and J.J, all of Des Moines, IA; her daughter, Kassie Webber and her children: Arianna Blum, Callie Blum and Keegan Webber, all of Spencer, IA; her step-daughter, Amanda Kinnetz of Estherville, IA; her step-grandson, Jordan James of Alta, IA; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and three grandchildren: Kimberly Fitchett, Desire Briner and Devon Briner.
SERVICES
Memorial Services will be 1:00p.m., Thursday, November 20, at the First Congregational Church in Spencer.
