Doloras Florence Harrington

April 20, 1925 — September 23, 2009

Doloras Florence Harrington, the daughter of Arthur and Louise Lutz was born on April 20, 1925. Her childhood years were spent in Terril, Iowa where she received her education, graduating from Terril High School. She continued her studies at St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing in Ottumwa, graduating in 1946. Doloras married Robert "Digger" Harrington at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Spencer, Iowa. She worked as an RN in various capacities in the Spencer community, retiring from nursing in 1980. She was a past member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Following the death of her husband, she moved to Scottsdale, Arizona, to enjoy retirement in the Valley of the Sun. She passed away at the Thunderbird Hospice of the Valley in Glendale, AZ on September, 23, 2009, at the age of 84. Doloras was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Arthur and her husband, Digger in 1983. Left to cherish her memory are her three sons: John (Char) Harrington of Waterloo, IA, Fr. Mark Harrington of Anthem, AZ, Timothy James Harrington of Scottsdale, AZ; one daughter, Mary Jo (Jack) Cuttell of Peoria, AZ; three grandchildren: Katherine Cuttell, Judd Harrington and Andrew Harrington; her sister Rosemary Wilson of Houston, TX; other relatives and friends.

SERVICES

Memorial graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, October 3, 2009 at Riverside Cemetery in Spencer. Memorials may be sent to Doloras Harrington's son, Father Mark Harrington at: St. Rose Catholic Church 2825 W. Rose Canyon Circle Anthem, AZ 85086 A funeral luncheon will be served at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Parish Hall following the interment at approximately 11:45 a.m.
