Dolores Mae Bina, the daughter of William and Mary Hoppe Hinz, was born August 25, 1935 in Primghar, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent in the Gaza, Iowa area, where she received her education, graduating from Gaza High School in 1953. Following high school, she worked as a nurses aid at Sioux Valley Hospital in Cherokee.
Dolores married Greg Bina on May 18, 1960 in South Dakota. Following their marriage, they lived for a short time in Cherokee and Texas, before moving to Sutherland, Iowa, where they made their home. She worked cleaning houses and business for several people in Sutherland, including the Sutherland Post Office. Dolores most recently worked as a greeter at Warner Funeral Home in Sutherland. She was also an integral part of the family fishing tackle business, Greg Bina & Associates, which was based out of their home.
Dolores passed away at the Mercy Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa on Sunday, November 11, 2007 at the age of 72. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Scott in 1986 and two sisters: Vicki Newell and Shirley Aldred.
She is survived by her husband, Greg Bina of Sutherland; one daughter, Susan Nash and her husband, Michael of Everett, WA; a son, Steve and his wife, Jenni Bina of Brentwood, CA; five grandchildren: Allison, Bryan, Austin, Michelle and Stephanie; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
SERVICES
Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M., Thursday, November 15, 2007 at the Church of Christ in Sutherland.

Visitation will begin 3:00 P.M., Wednesday, with the family present from 6 to 7:30 P.M., Wednesday Evening at the Warner Funeral Home in Sutherland.
