Don Dean Momsen, the son of Chris and Lucille (Swanson) Momsen was born March 22, 1936, in Lake View, Iowa. He graduated from Lake View High School in 1954.
On April 14, 1957, Don was united in marriage to Eileen Fisher in Lake View. Following their marriage, Don served in the United States Army from 1959-1960 where he was stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington. To this union three daughters were born: Laurie, Diane, and Linda.
Following his honorable discharge from the Army, Don and his family lived in Lake View, Harcourt, and Fort Dodge, before moving to Spencer in 1977. Don worked as a farm manager for Farmers National Company before starting his own business, Momsen Farm Management.
Don and Eileen built a cottage on Blanche Lake in Battle Lake, MN in the summer of 1981. They and their family enjoyed many summers there. Don was a director for the Ottertail Property Owners Association for 12 years.
Don enjoyed visiting with all his coffee friends, both in Spencer and Battle Lake, but most of all Don enjoyed being around his family, especially his granddaughters, whom were very important to him.
On January 11, 2007, Don passed away at the Spencer Hospital at the age of 70. His parents preceded him in death.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 50 years, Eileen Momsen, of Spencer, IA; three daughters: Laurie Siewert and fianc�, John Utermoehl of Stillwater, MN; Diane Cole of Enid, OK, Linda (Marlin) Voss, of Fostoria, IA; six granddaughters: Kristin Siewert of North Haven, CT, Katie Siewert of Minneapolis, MN, Jessica Cole of Stillwater, OK, Kayla Cole of Enid, OK, and Kendra and Madison Voss of Fostoria, IA; one brother, Glen (Betty) Momsen of Springfield, MO; special friends, Delmar and Bette Phillips of Lake View, IA; as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at the Warner Chapel in Spencer.
