Donald Delbert Storey

Donald Delbert Storey, the son of Delbert and Viola Arndt Storey, was born September 30, 1935 in Dickens, Iowa. His childhood years were spent in Dickens, where he received his education at Dickens Elementary School and later graduating from Spencer High School. Don married Dianne Kay Pederson on September 30, 1962 in Chester, SD. Following their marriage, they lived in Spencer. He enrolled in a taxidermy school in Minnesota in 1982 and went on to open a very successful taxidermy school bringing in students from all over the U.S. and Canada. He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Spencer. Don was also a life member of the NRA and enjoyed fishing in Canada and hunting. Don passed away at his home in Spencer, Iowa on Wednesday, September 19, 2007 with his family at his side after a very long illness, at the age of 71. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Dianne (Dee) of Spencer; three sons: Jeffrey and his wife, Sheila and Joel and Jason; two grandchildren: Katie and Aaron; one brother, Denny and his wife, Linda Storey of Dickens, Iowa; his Father and Mother in-law: Alvin and Ruby Pederson of Chester, SD; his brother-in-laws: Bob and his wife, Barb Pederson of Tea, SD, Ted and his wife, Sue Pederson of Chandler, AZ and Tom and his wife, Gwen Pederson of Lake Ponticet, SD; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
SERVICES
Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, September 24, 2007 at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Spencer, Iowa.
