Donald John Weikum

July 18, 1919 — October 22, 2015

Donald John Weikum, the son of Jacob and Katherine Grup Weikum, was born July 18, 1919 in Redfield, SD. Don was raised on a farm in Redfield and received his education at Redfield, SD. Following his schooling, Don farmed on the home farm with his brother until 1958 when he moved to Spencer. Don married Betty Vance on August 4, 1962 in Worthington, MN. Don worked at 20th Century Lanes. He worked there until his retirement in 1985. Don passed away at the Spencer Hospital on October 22, 2015 at the age of 96. He is preceded in death by his parents; 7 brothers: George, Art, Reuben, Earl, Jack, Roy and Frank; 3 sisters: Clara Weikum, Vera Deiter and Katherine Thompson. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Betty Weikum of Spencer; one daughter, Sherry Weikum of Hartley; other relatives and friends.

Will be held from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 25 at the Warner Funeral Home in Spencer.
