Donald Lyle Knephoff

In Loving Memory of Donald Lyle Knephoff Donald L Knephoff was born on September 29, 1934 in Grand Island, NE. to Lauren E & Louise I (Haines) Knephoff. The family moved to California when Donald was about 6 years old, where Donald received his education. He graduated from Leuzinger High School in Lawndale, CA., where he was an honor student. Donald married Ruth Anderson on February 14, 1987 in Stockton, CA. He worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for 35 years; retiring as the assistant train master in 1994. Don enjoyed many activities, such as, golf, deep sea fishing, traveling & visiting with friends & family. He & Ruth traveled extensively for many years in their various motor homes. Don was a member of the Moose Lodge & a past member of the Masonic Lodge. Don passed away at the Spencer Hospital on Thursday, May 21st, 2015 at the age of 80 years. He was preceeded in death by his parents, his brother, Ronald & his first wife Janet. He is survived by his son Donny Knephoff; daughter, Joanne (Mike) Bauer; son, Douglas (Michelle) Anderson; son, Duane Anderson; daughter, Linda Williams, daughter, Rita (Jamie) Wendelsdorf & daughter, Sharon Barnett and 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren & other relatives & many friends. His gentle spirit & big, loving heart will be greatly missed by all who knew & loved him.
