Donna Rae Schwarz

March 10, 1938 — September 2, 2017

Donna Rae Schwarz, the daughter of Fred and Hilda (Ringler) Winter, was born March 10, 1938 in Sioux City, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent in Sioux City, Iowa, where she received her education graduating from Sioux City East High School.

Donna married Fred Schwarz on October 12, 1957 in Sioux City. They moved to Spencer, Iowa in the fall of 1961. Throughout her married life, she enjoyed raising and spending time with her family. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer, where she was active with the Women’s Circle and taught Sunday school. Over the years, she enjoyed playing cards with her card club and playing volleyball at the YMCA.

Donna passed away at her home in Spencer, Iowa on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at the age of 79. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Fred in 2002, and two daughters: Alisa White and Cynthia Schwarz.

Left to cherish her memory are her granddaughter, Erin White of Portola Valley, CA and her son-in-law, Matt White and his wife, Ann White of Portola Valley, CA; other relatives and friends.

SERVICES

Memorial services will be held 1:00 P.M., Saturday, September 16, 2017 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer.

Memorials may be given to the Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer or a charity of your choice.

Privately prior to the memorial services.

A lunch and time of fellowship will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer following the memorial services.
