Dorothea Edleman, the daughter of Walter and Minnie Squires Mileham, was born December 14, 1914, on a farm near Curlew, Iowa. She received her early education and graduated from the Garfield High School in Webb in 1932.
Dorothea married Milton Dale Edleman on January 24, 1934, in Curlew, Iowa and following their marriage, they farmed in the Webb and Spencer areas. While living in this area, she was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher and president of United Methodist Women. She was also a member of Hereford Association, Federation of Clay County, 4-H leader, 20th Century Club of Webb and the Extension Council Clay County. In her spare time, Dorothea enjoyed raising chickens, canning, working in her flower garden and her favorite time was being with her family.
Mrs. Edleman passed away on September 3, 2010 at the St. Luke Lutheran Home in Spencer at the age of 95. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Milton on February 11, 2000; 2 daughters: Carol Edleman and Peggy Maurer; two sisters: Marcel and Jewell; 7 brothers: Floyd, Raymond, Homer, Hershal, Merle, Ray and Lyle.
Dorothea is survived by her 3 daughters and their husbands: Betty & Ronald Carlson of Webb, IA, Donna & Jim Toland of Ruthven, IA and Sandra & Clifford Hepworth of Royal, IA; son-in-law, Bob and Pam Maurer of Sutherland, IA; 12 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; 2 sisters: Neva Rubel of Ruthven, IA and Marge Neibaur of Mason City, IA; other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at the Grace United Methodist Church
