Douglas Don Lynn, the son of Delbert Edison, Sr. and Nora Edna (Scharnberg) Lynn, was born on June 6, 1941 in Spirit Lake, IA. He was raised in the Everly area where he received his early education and graduated from Everly High School. Following high school he drove truck and then farming. before working for Spencer International and Harms Implement.
On October 9, 1965, He married Mary Osborne in Estherville, IA. Following their marriage the couple lived in Everly all their married life. Over the years, Douglas worked for Spencer International and Harms Implement and later at the Everly Lumber Department. He also worked with Josh Dohrn Trucking in semi-retirement. Douglas and Mary enjoyed fishing together and taking the boat up to the lakes and catching walleyes, perch and crappies. He also enjoyed woodworking and a good jigsaw puzzle in the wintertime.
Douglas passed away on Monday, April 6, 2020, at the Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD, at the age of 78. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Delbert, Jr.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Mary of Everly, IA; his brother David and his wife, Karen of Spencer, IA; his sister, Milli Krull and her husband, Loren of George, IA; other relatives and many friends.
