Duen Lovan the daughter of Yon and Noe (Lo) Lovan, was born May 12, 1924 in Meutang, North Vietnam. On May 1979, Duen's family left Laos to Nong Khai, Thailand refugee camp for one year and moved to a Phillipine refugee camp in 1980 for one year and in February of 1981, the family arrived in the U.S., settling in Spencer, Iowa.
Duen was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her whole life was dedicated to given to her family and others.
Duen passed away at Longhouse Residence in Spencer, Iowa on Thursday, August 13, 2009 at the age of 85. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Yen on January 3, 2008 and one great grandson, Kevin Keohavong.
SERVICES
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Monday, August 17, 2009 at Grace United Methodist Church in Spencer.
